    • Open categories will utilize a single elimination format.
  • Match Schedule
    • Players should be at their designated courts at their scheduled time. Default time is 5 minutes. Please Note: Default time will be based on the scheduled time, not on the announcer’s call. Official tournament time will be based on Globe mobile network time. In the event that a player fails to appear within the stipulated default time, the rule for walkover will be strictly followed.
    • If in case the previous match is delayed, the next matches will be moved to the next scheduled time.
      • For instance, if Match 3 is originally set to begin at 10:30 AM but experiences a delay due to the previous match, it will commence at the next scheduled time, which, in this example, is 11:00 AM.
      • Note: If your match is delayed, you should still report to the umpire on your scheduled time. Make sure to return to the court before your rescheduled match starts.
  • Scoring
    • For Non-Open categories, from Round-Robin to Single-Elimination stage, the match is won by the side that reaches a score of 31 points first.

    • For Open categories, a match shall consist of the best of three games. A game shall be won by the side which scores 21 points first.
      • If the score becomes 20-all, the side which gains a two point lead first, shall win that game.
      • If the score becomes 29-all, the side scoring the 30th point shall win that game.
  • Ranking

      • If 3 or more brackets are being matched, the Top 1 pair/player per bracket will advance to the next round.
      • If 2 brackets are being matched, the Top 2 pairs/players will advance to the next round.
      • If two pairs/players have won the same number of matches, the winner of the match between them will be ranked higher (double tie → head to head).
      • If three or more players/pair have won the same number of matches, ranking will be established by the difference between total points won and total points lost, with greater difference ranked higher. (triple tie → points difference)
        • If this still leaves two players / pairs equal, the winner of the match between them will be ranked higher. (triple tie → points difference → head to head)
    • In Single Elimination/Playoffs format
      • Each round consists of matchups, where winners advance to the next round and losers are eliminated.
      • The final round determines the overall winner of the tournament.
      • For 3rd place, after the semifinal matches have been played, the two pairs or players that were defeated in the semifinals can compete against each other in a consolation match.
  • Statuses
    • Walkovers
      • A walkover occurs when one player or pair is unable or unwilling to participate in a scheduled match. Walkovers can happen due to various reasons, such as injury, illness, disqualification, or any other reason preventing a player or pair from participating.
      • The declared winner will be the present pair or player, regardless of the reason for the incomplete pair or absence of a player. Both pairs/players will receive 0 points.
    • No Match
      • "No match" typically refers to a situation where a scheduled match does not take place for various reasons, such as both players or pairs being unable to participate, tournament organizers canceling the match, or other unforeseen circumstances.
      • In case of no match, no winner or loser shall be declared.
    • Retired
      • If a player or pair is unable to continue playing due to injury, illness, or any other valid reason, and they retire from a match, their opponent is declared the winner of that particular match.
      • In the event of a player or pair retiring from a match, the recorded score shall be the last score attained before the retirement, ensuring a fair reflection of the match progress up to that point.

Injuries

  • Injured players will be asked by the umpire, "Are you retiring?" If the player says,"YES," the player must continue to play after 5 minutes.
  • If injury persists the second time, the player will be asked if he’s retiring or not. if YES, the player must continue to play after 3 minutes.
  • Please note: Second occurrence is the final chance. If the injury still persists the third time, the game will be ended.
  • The committee, in creating the tournament schedule, has prioritized rest times and will not be held responsible for any injuries, accidents, or incidents that may occur to the players. However, it should be noted that the inclusion of three entries per player might impact the players' rest time. To ensure adequate rest for the players, the committee has devised a schedule that avoids scheduling matches for the same level of the event consecutively.
  • The committee hereby explicitly declares that it shall not assume any responsibility or liability for any injuries that may be sustained during the course of the tournament. Nevertheless, it is important to note that dedicated medical personnel will be readily available and on standby throughout the entire duration of the tournament to provide immediate first aid assistance.
